| We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to work within our Digital Pre-press team. The ideal candidate will be aware of current workflows within the pre-press environment and be a daily user of print related applications, notably InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark & Acrobat. Working as part of an expanding, friendly team, you will have good people skills and be used to rapid turnarounds. The ability to use initiative in solving problems whilst retaining a high degree of accuracy is essential. Your role will include: The execution of creative concepts, presentations and design to a very high standard in line with industry and business expectations.To conceptualise and develop ideas from sketch through to finished artwork when necessary. Involvement at the start or concept stages of projects to assist and ensure a smooth transition from concept to print. The production of artwork suitable for hand over to external or internal suppliers ensuring that all production methods used are efficient and that the end product to be supplied is compatible with final out put requirements. Producing high-end reprographic work using industry software appropriate at the time of production. (Currently: InDesign, Photoshop & Quark) Production of high-end retouching, image manipulation, colour balancing and compilation of imagery as a project requires. Essential: InDesign Photoshop Illustrator Quark Xpress Adobe Acrobat Reprographic and print understanding Knowledge and proven experience designing for print Graphic Design qualification MAC literate Desirable: Knowledge of Variable Data printing Industry experience web design, XHTML/ CSS and Programming Microsoft Office incl. Excel Skills required: Creative flair Good organisational skills Excellent attention to detail Up-to-date knowledge of industry software Professional approach to time and deadlines Ability to manage more than one design brief at a time |
